* Fix copy module to reset filesystem acls (#51868)
The controller's fixup_perms2 uses filesystem acls to make the temporary
file for copy readable by an unprivileged become user. On Python3, the
acls are then copied to the destination filename so we have to remove
them from there.
We can't remove them prior to the copy because we may not have
permission to read the file if the acls are not present. We can't
remove them in atomic_move() because the move function shouldn't know
anything about controller features. We may want to generalize this into
a helper function, though.

* Fix get_bin_path usage

* Changelog for winrm error handling improvement
* Revert "allow caller to deal with timeout (#49449)"
This reverts commit 63279823a7.
Flawed on many levels
* Adds poor API to a public function
* Papers over the fact that the public function is doing something bad
by catching exceptions it cannot handle in the first place
* Papers over the real cause of the issue which is a bug in the timeout
decorator
* Doesn't reraise properly
* Catches the wrong exception
Fixes#49824Fixes#49817
* Make the timeout decorator properly raise an exception outside of the function's scope
signal handlers which raise exceptions will never work well because the
exception can be raised anywhere in the called code. This leads to
exception race conditions where the exceptions could end up being
hanlded by unintended pieces of the called code.
The timeout decorator was using just that idiom. It was especially bad
because the decorator syntactically occurs outside of the called code
but because of the signal handler, the exception was being raised inside
of the called code.
This change uses a thread instead of a signal to manage the timeout in
parallel to the execution of the decorated function. Since raising of
the exception happens inside of the decorator, now, instead of inside of
a signal handler, the timeout exception is raised from outside of the
called code as expected which makes reasoning about where exceptions are
to be expected intuitive again.
Fixes#43884
* Add a common case test.
Adding an integration test driven from our unittests. Most of the time
we'll timeout in run_command which is running things in a subprocess.
Create a test for that specific case in case anything funky comes up
between threading and execve.
* Don't use OSError-based TimeoutError as a base class
Unlike most standard exceptions, OSError has a specific parameter list
with specific meanings. Instead follow the example of other stdlib
functions, concurrent.futures and multiprocessing and define a separate
TimeoutException.

This is an implementation of 8bffcf8e50
that was done in the PR https://github.com/ansible/ansible/pull/48082 to devel.
The changes have been manually brought across to the the stable-2.7 branch as it
cannot be cleanly cherry picked due to the substantial differences in become
between these versions.
Currently we impersonate the `SYSTEM` token in order to elevate our become
process with the highest privileges it has available but there are some edge
cases where the first `SYSTEM` token we come across doesn't have the
`SeTcbPrivilege` which is required for the above. This PR adds a further check
in the search for a `SYSTEM` token to make sure it has the `SeTcbPrivilege`
before continuing.

In [1] changes were made to ensure that the physical
devices were appropriately filtered, but the dev_list
which is used to prepare the filter is modified from
the original arguments to resolve any symlinks. This
results in the existing devices given in the module
args to be left out of the filter, resulting
in the module trying to add the same device again
every time the task is executed.
In this PR we change dev_list to be a copy of the
module arguments so that we're able to add the given
pv list from the module arguments into the filter
as well, ensuring that there is idempotence when
running the task again.

* modules/systemd: fix logic: disabled means disabled
Fix logic determining whether a service with both systemd and initd files is enabled or disabled.
In situations where systemd thinks service is disabled, but rc.d symlinks mark it as enabled,
this module wrongly assumes the service is enabled.
Fix this logic: disabled means disabled
Only when the output from systemctl is-enabled does NOT include disabled, consider the status of rc.d symlinks.
This essentially replicates the fixes done to the systemd handling in the "service" module in 3c89a21e0cFixes#22303Fixes#44409Fixes#39116

* Changelog entry.
When creating a new account, check to see if the expiration parameter is negative and pass in the appropriate parameter. Since the negative integer passed into expires is converted to time.struct_time which in turn gets converted to a formatted time string when passed to the underlying command, a -1 or large negative number would result in passing a date before 1970-01-01 to the underlying command.
This had the opposite effect of creating an account with no expiration account resulting in a newly created account that was already expired, or just throwing an error on certain systems.

The bundled selectors library which is used by the local and ssh
connection plugins had a bug which caused a traceback in a cornercase.
If selectors were in use and a syscall was interrupted, selectors would
attempt to restart the syscall after the interrupt was processed. if
the attempt determined that the timeout for running the syscall had
already expired, the code attempted to raise OSError. The raise was
using a Python3-ism and needed to be ported to work on Python2.

triggers the warning because it is probably not a directory that the

The shift to openstacksdk left us with a bug in that when running bare
with --list, the cloud argument to get_one is None. We just need _one_
of the clouds to pull the cache settings, since they are global (yet,
we'll go back and fix this in sdk)
If it's None, just use get_all and grab the first one.
When parsing the distribution files such as /etc/os-release, we extract
the full distribution version but not the major version. As such, the
ansible_distribution_major_version ends up being 'NA' whereas the
ansible_distribution_version contains the full version.
Before this patch we get this on openSUSE Leap 15
ansible -o localhost -m setup -a filter=ansible_distribution_major_version
localhost | SUCCESS => {"ansible_facts": {"ansible_distribution_major_version": "NA"}, "changed": false}
After this patch we get this
ansible -o localhost -m setup -a filter=ansible_distribution_major_version
localhost | SUCCESS => {"ansible_facts": {"ansible_distribution_major_version": "15"}, "changed": false}
This also fixes the Tumbleweed distribution test to report a proper
major version and also adds a test for openSUSE Leap 15.0 to avoid
potential future regressions.

With the addition on ajson.py in cbb6a7f4e8, two
new classes were created: AnsibleJSONDecoder and AnsibleJSONEncoder. These
classes are used when calling json.looads() and json.dumps().
This works fine with everything except the jsonfile.py cache plugin, which would
first try to import simplejson as json, then fall back to json. When simplejson
is installed, the load() or dump methods from simplejson are called, which then
try to use the AnsibleJSONEncoder/AnsibleJSONDecoder subclass from ajson.py.
But asjon.py imports json, not simplejson, and things blow up.

Address Firefox table-rendering issues in docs. Refactor to use colspan to provide table cells which can vary in width and indentation; the outermost has the greatest colspan, and each nested key has a colspan of one less than the parent, with padding cells for indentation.
Apply styling to table cells to get the table height to work without hacks or browser-specific
styling. Simplify the markup and CSS by removing extra divs. Use two passes over the options, return values, and return facts in the Jinja2 module-docs template: one to determine the maximum nesting depth to compute the maximum colspan needed, plus one to lay out the rows.

Removes the SSH enforcement because it breaks situations where, for example,
an admin maintains Ansible Tower and another team needs to use Ansible
with the BIG-IP modules, but the Tower admin does not want to install
the F5-SDK on the Ansible Tower instance.
In this situation, the user needs to delegate the execution of the BIG-IP
module to another linux host that does have the dependencies installed.
Usually this is done with delegation, often over SSH. Limiting the SSH
connection here prevents this from working.

When running the test test/units/module_utils/urls/test_open_url.py
test_open_url_no_validate_certs, the test fails because of the SSLv2
check.
Test is run on a machine using openssl 1.1.0g. By reading the openssl

As mentioned in this answer https://stackoverflow.com/a/41549694/6778826 we was able to solve a bad behaviour of `blockinfile` module.
We must change two parts in one file which we have done in two tasks. Every run have rewriten the first block with the second block in the wrong position. **After** we have set the `marker` in the second task to another value was the `blockinfile` module able to insert both parts in the right position in the same file.
* os_project_access: correct example tasks
The example task does not work. Fix it so that it does.
* os_project_access: Remove unused function
The _get_allowed_projects function is not used anywhere,
so we can remove it and be free of nova_client for this
module.
The os_server module uses the deprecated nova_client function, and
therefore ends up requiring python-novaclient installed. In this
patch we switch the ip detachment to make use of a shade function,
removing the need for python-novaclient.
This script was deprecated in 2.0.0. There is no point
carrying it around any longer given that there is now
a replacement dynamic inventory script and an inventory
plugin too.
* The module now correctly sets the timezone in both the config file and
in /etc/localtime; while hwclock is set in both the config and
/etc/adjtime.
* Module checks if the timezone is actually set by checking
/etc/localtime. Before it only checked if it was set in the config file.
* Fixed module not setting the timezone on RedHat systems if
/etc/localtime was a symbolic link.
* Fixed module failures in case of missing config files or incorrect data
in them.
* Added a lot of integrations tests to cover most of these situations.
* Add start and end timestamp to task result in json callback
Currently, the timestamp information is only provided directly by a few
Ansible modules (e.g. the command module, which shows the runtime of a
command per host result).
This change adds an 'overall' time information to all executed tasks. The
delta between both timestamps shows how long it took a task to finish
across all hosts/nodes.
This patch is also proposed for zuul and can be found here:
https://review.openstack.org/#/c/563888
* Add missing timezone information to 'start' and 'end' timestamps
As the datetime.isoformat() function is missing the timezone information,
we assume it's local time.
* Nest 'start' and 'end' timestamps in 'duration' field.
To clarify the purpose of those fields.
* Add 'start' and 'end' timestamps also for plays
* Add a 'machinectl shell' become_method
* docs: add explanations for the machinectl become_method
* docs: machinectl become_method: specify this part is specific to Linux+systemd setups

would likely lead to further confusion.

Add `mode` option which sets permission mode of a VM in octet format

Update relevant tests
Add tests for mode, owner_id, group_id

* Fix errors decrypted non-ascii vault vars
AnsibleVaultEncryptedUnicode was just using b"".decode()

Use to_text() to default to decoding utf-8.

The integration tests expect **lag_type** too, so this simply codifies
what was expected since inception.
OpenBSD comes with its own encryption utility as well, which must be run on the password text `encrypt <password>`. following the code block above, i just included the base command in the code block. I wasn't quite sure where to add my change, so I put it at the bottom of the section since the rest all flows well together.

This change addresses an issue where the prompt matching regular
expressions would not match a prompt if the hostname starts with a
numeric value. Before this change, the connection would fail with a
socket.timeout() error. This change updates the termnal_stdout_re
values to now check for a number.

* parted module not idempotent for esp flag and name
Fixes#40452
Currently the parted module doesn't take into account names with
spaces in them which leads to non-idempotent transactions on the
state of the system because the name comparison will never succeed.
Also, when the esp flag is set, parted infers the boot flag and the
parted module did not previously account for this. This lead to
non-idempotent transactions as well.

* Set encrypted as default and fix empty password reporting changed
* Starting with Postgres 10 `UNENCRYPTED` passwords are removed and
because of that this module fails with the default `encrypted=no`.
Also encrypted passwords are suported since version 7.2
(https://www.postgresql.org/docs/7.2/static/sql-createuser.html) which
went EOL in 2007 and since 7.3 it is the default. Because of this it
makes a lot more sense to make `encrypted=yes` the default. This won't
break backward compatibility, the module would just update the user's
password in the DB in the hashed format and everything else will work
like before. It's also a security bad practice to store passwords in
plain text. fixes#25823

reported as changed.

Based on the documentation, 'wait_timeout' is 'Used in conjunction with instance_ids option'. This lead me to believe that I could not use this parameter to try and solve the 'Waited too long for ELB instances to be healthy' error I was experiencing.
This seems a little like duplicating code since all of the called
functions need it but prev_state isn't part of argument parsing so it
doesn't belong in the toplevel main() function.
It feels like this repeats itself because it pulls the creation of
a byte string for path into every state function. However, it actually
cleans the API by only passing a single parameter for a thing (the path)
instead of sending it in twice.
Well organized programs should only have a few successful exit points.
This commit moves all of the successful exit points for the file module
into the main() function. Other functions return their results to the
main function which can then choose whether there is more procesing to
do before exit or not.
Use an exception to return failures rather than fail_json(). This way
we can easily catch the failures if the calling code decides it can deal
with it. This has the side effect of making it easier to unittest this
code as we can catch the expected exceptions instead of having to catch
the interpreter exiting and then parse stdout for the expected data.
* Separate the logic for each state into separate functions
* Start the process of separating out initialization (pre-processing of
parameters that cannot be done via arg spec) from the logic to
implement each state.
* Start the process of raising exceptions for errors and returning
result values from each state implementing function Goal is for all
fail_json's to be consolidated into exception handlers at the toplevel
and for there to be only one exit_json() at the toplevel.
* Remove use of six.b as Python-2.6+ have byte literals.
* Make AnsibleModule a global object so we'll have access to it in all
the functions we're going to break this up into.
* Rework the parameters so things that are in file_common_args are used
from file_common_args or the reason for deviation is documented.
* Remove validate as a parameter: this should be taken care of by
removing it from params before the copy and template action plugin
invoke file.
* Rename diff_peek to _diff_peek as it is an internal parameter.
* add module_name execute_module call to assemble so that it is more greppable
* Removed forwarders parameter that did not work
* Updated coding conventions
* Added ssl_cipher_suite and ssl_protocols to bigip_device_httpd
* Added more unit tests
This PR includes:
- Fixes to the majority of module validation issues
(deliberate inconsistencies between docs and arg_spec)
- Removal of deprecated parameters 'method' and 'protocols'
- A few typos in the documentation
There are still some left-over validation errors, some are deliberate
(like doc strings as default to indicate ranges, etc.)
* allow to load json marked as unsafe or vault
* centralized json code/decode, add vault support
* use generics to allow for more varied inputs
* allow inventory to dump vault w/o decrypting
* override simplejson also
* add entry for unsafe also
* load vaulted and unsafe json, support unvaulting if secrets provided

* Create PanOS module documentation fragment
- Module documentation fragment currently holds 3 parameters
- It most likely won't be used in every single module since there is
some variance
* Modified PanOS module for use doc_frags
- Where documentation is consistent, module documentation now uses a
documentation fragment instead of all documentation being contained in
the module.
* Formatting and syntax error fixes
Updated some formatting errors to make ansibot happy.
* Revisions for grammar

* fix become_method 'doas' support by properly specifying becomecmd
a repatch of https://github.com/ansible/ansible/pull/13451/ which was never committed to 'devel' branch.
* fix play_context test for become_method doas to match new becomecmd
* Allow subspec defaults to be processed when the parent argument is not supplied
* Allow this to be configurable via apply_defaults on the parent
* Document attributes of arguments in argument_spec
* Switch manageiq_connection to use apply_defaults
* add choices to api_version in argument_spec

In the current state of the code, the nvme partitions are returned as empty as in :
"ansible_devices": {
"nvme0n1": {
"model": "SAMSUNG MZVLW256HEHP-000L7",
"partitions": {},
The parsing of the /sys/block/<diskname> try to find a disk named like :
<diskname><x> as in sda1 for sda
But in the nvme context, the partition of nvme0n1 is named nvme0n1p1.
This add a possible 'p' between the diskname and the partname.
This patch simply add the option of having a 'p' between the diskname
and the partname.
The patch works on my host :
"model": "INTEL SSDPEDMD400G4",
"partitions": {
"nvme0n1p1": {
...
"size": "93.13 GB",

`network['vlan']` should be a VLAN ID
Integers passed around using jinja variable references are
converted to strings (see # 9362)
The # 32738 PR should allow using 'NativeType' in ansible
Explicitly converting to integer will make the module works
as expected with or without the NativeType support
`network['vlan']` can also be a VLAN NAME (fallback)
Explicitly converting to string will make the module works

* Fix account expiration for FreeBSD
Use DATE_FORMAT when setting expiration date on FreeBSD. Previously the argument passed to -e was an integer of days since epoch when the account will expire which was inserted directly into master.passwd. This value is interpreted as seconds since epoch by the system, meaning the account expiration was actually set to a few hours past epoch.
Greatly simply comparing desired and current expiration time by using the first three values of the struct_time tuple rather than doing a whole bunch of manipulations of the seconds since epoch.
So it seems on failure the last raised (but handled) exception is being
added to the task failure result, which makes it often unrelated to the
actual failure.
Since we assumed the exception was always related, using the exception
information for the subject is plain wrong (and let me to debug
completely unrelated ghost issues).
Also the exception details are now moved back in the output. Maybe we
should not show it unless there's no other information ? But at least it
should not be the mail's subject.
Since it will be used outside just AWS modules, this commit moves
`camel_dict_to_snake_dict` and `snake_dict_to_camel_dict` functions into
a new module_utils file under common/ to match their wider usage.

Updated GitHub Repos section to better explain what ansible-network@redhat.com is for (not an email list, but adding to the network-automation github repo.

An example is also added to show how to add
both Spice and VNC consoles to a VM.
Under a non-utf-8 locale (for instance, LC_ALL=C), passing a non-ascii
filename to many APIs will traceback. Fix that by explicitly converting
to byte strings before passing to external APIs.

This fix corrects the comparison of system generated guest_id with
user provided guest_id. Module used to report change even if the
guest_ids were same. For example, user provided guest id rhel7_64guest
and VMware returned guest id rhel7_64Guest are logically same but
lexicographically different and due to this module use to report
change even if there is no change applied.

Also use a lock file per host, rather than one global file lock.
Commit 9c0275a879 introduced a bug where the lock file was only being

This causes delays when a large inventory causes a lot of contention on
that global lock. This patch fixes the problem by ensuring the lock is
released regardless of the fork condition, and also to use a lock file
based on the remote address of the target host, removing the global lock
bottleneck.

* Add note about sefcontext doing no restorecon
To someone like me who is relatively new to SELinux, setting the

* Generate SHA256 signed certificates
Vulnerability scanners are increasingly reporting SHA-1 signed certificates as a vulnerability on servers. Before this change, -ForceNewSSLCert generates a signature algorithm that openssl shows as sha1WthRSAEncryption for WinRM port 5986. After, this forces certificates to be signed with SHA256, which openssl shows sha256WithRSAEncryption.
Some example SHA-1 deprecations include:
- https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/security-updates/SecurityAdvisories/2017/4010323
- https://blog.mozilla.org/security/2014/09/23/phasing-out-certificates-with-sha-1-based-signature-algorithms/
Also note that RDP 3389 on Windows 2016 also defaults to a SHA256 certificate.
The specifics were merged from a script mod I found at https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/PowerShell-script-to-7a0321b7 intended for Exchange. It also includes a mod to add an alternate DNS listing so the cert contains CN=HOSTNAME plus now also an alternative of the FQDN.

For connection=local check only if the transport value in
provider is cli and the respective module support cli
transport. If not report back appropriate error message.
Currently, when ones run the module in check_mode it tries to retrieve
values from the actual certificate generated in the generate() function.
Since in check_mode we call dump() without calling generate(), self.cert
is None, leading to self.cert.get_notBefore(), self.cert.get_notAfter()
and self.cert.get_serial_number() raising an error.
> NoneType' object has no attribute 'get_notBefore'
The solution is to have two way to handle dump() method, whether its run
in check_mode=True or check_mode=False leading to different way the
information is retrieved.

* manageiq_provider: Fix creation of openshift provider
Fixes#38331.
Sending `api_version` to openshift provider would cause error:
"OpenShift api_version cannot be modified"
due to https://github.com/ManageIQ/manageiq-providers-kubernetes/blob/gaprindashvili-2/app/models/manageiq/providers/kubernetes/container_manager.rb#L37
In `edit_provider` we `delete_nulls()` on the whole data being sent
so `api_version` was omitted if not specified.
In `create_provider()` we only did it on endpoints list so `api_version`
was always sent - now doing on whole data.
Physical devices are listed using 'pvs' command. Then, for
'/dev/dm-*' devices 'dmsetup' command is used to find pv_name.
An error occurs when 'pvs' command list an unknown device:
$ pvs --noheadings -o pv_name,vg_name --separator ';'
/dev/dm-0;vg_var
/dev/mapper/sdb3_backups;vg_data_backups
$ dmsetup info -C --noheadings -o name /dev/dm-0
Device dm-0 not found
Then the module fails:
{
"changed": false,
"err": "Device dm-0 not found\nCommand failed\n",
"msg": "Failed executing dmsetup command.",
"rc": 1
}
This failure can be avoided when the unknown device isn't used in
module parameter 'pvs'.

change on 'ansible-vault edit' that tried to check

reuse the vault secret that was used to decrypt the text.
Change cli to not check for --encrypt-vault-id on 'edit'.
VaultLib.decrypt_and_get_vault_id() was change to return
the vault secret used to decrypt (in addition to vault_id
and the plaintext).
VaultEditor.edit_file() will now use 'vault_secret_used'
as returned from decrypt_and_get_vault_id() so that
an edited file always gets reencrypted with the same
secret, regardless of any vault id configuration or
cli options.

* Fix loading of filter and test plugins
Filter and test plugins are different than other plugins in that they
can have many plugins in a single file. Therefore they need to operate
a little differently. They need to have all of the potential files

order for jinja2 to make use of them.
This problem was (most recently) introduced with f921369445

This PR makes and adjustment for Python 3 scoping rules which differ from Python 2. In Python 3, the variable __ex__ goes out of scope at the exit of the __try-except__ block. This means that when __ex__ is referred to on the lines that follow, it would be an _undefined name_ causing a __NameError__ to be raised instead of the expected __ConnectionError__.

Add note about setting ANSIBLE_PERSISTENT_COMMAND_TIMEOUT to a higer value to avoid timeouts.
* Improve default values and choices in module docs
So currently we show defaults and choices in separate columns.
For each parameter we have
- Mostly empty default and choices cells
- A list of choices and a separate default value
- Only a default value
So there's a lot of space being wasted on empty cells.
We can do this better.
* Improve Parameters section
* Add Choices back into column header
* Ensure the tables spans the complete page width
* Using correct content type (as per version 10 of ACME draft).
* Another incompatibility with ACME v2: body must be {} and not contain v1 data (Pebble fails otherwise).
* Fixing bug: self.args in a subclass of Exception is apparently always a tuple.
* PY3 = dnf
Red Hat are unlikely to provide a Python 2 version of the yum bindings
as they are moving to `dnf`.
If Ansible can't find the yum Python library give the user a hint about
dnf and Python 3
* Fix unarchive with strip-components in extra_opts
When unarchive is given extra_opts to strip all leading directories, it
could end up trying to change the permissions on the root directory.
Tar archives shouldn't contain absolute paths anyways so make sure that
all paths are relative as we handle them.

This creates a way for us to use boto3's data-driven waiter support to use custom waiters where Boto3 hasn't implemented them yet.
The only waiter implemented so far is for VPC Route Tables to check that they exist, and this replaces some custom retry code.
Fixes#35993 - Changes to update_size in commit eb4cc31 made it so
the group dict passed into update_size was not modified. As a result,
the 'replace' call does not see an updated min_size like it previously
did and doesn't pause to wait for any new instances to spin up. Instead,
it moves straight into terminating old instances. Fix is to add batch_size
to min_size when calling wait_for_new_inst.
Fixes#28087 - Make replace_all_instances and replace_instances behave
exactly the same by setting replace_instances = current list of instances
when replace_all_instances used. Root cause of issue was that without lc_check
terminate_batch will terminate all instances passed to it and after updating
the asg size we were querying the asg again for the list of instances - so terminate batch
saw the list including new ones just spun up.
When creating new asg with replace_all_instances: yes and lc_check: false
the instances that are initially created are then subsequently replaced.
This change makes it so replace only occurs if the asg already existed.
Add integration tests for #28087 and #35993.

[cloud aws_s3] Most modes require `object` parameter, and this is easy to
get wrong (e.g. through confusion with the `dest` parameter). As
it's as easy to enforce, let's do that.
There should no longer be a need for boto documentation - it
just adds significant extra clutter to the guidelines.
AnsibleAWSModule greatly improves the codebase to such an extent
that we should mandate it for new code unless there is a
documented good reason.
* Update doc of AnsibleAWSModule to remove incorrect connect example.
Current example uses aws_connect method which no longer exists. Replace
this with the client and resource methods that do exist.
Also remove try/except block in connect example as guidelines imply that
there aren't connection errors thrown on connection, just when later
sing the connection.
* Update AWS module guidelines to include the AnsibleAWSModule connection methods.
* Add information on integration testing to the AWS module guidelines.
* Add information on common documentation fragments to AWS module
Guidelines.
* Changes as requested on PR.
* Restructure connection section to start with current best practice
* Explain the use of the CI build groups
* Use YAML Anchors for aws credentials example
* Replace guidance on use of test groups with link to aliases file.
This achieves the goal of explaining why this file is necessary without
introducing overhead of keeping documentation up to date when test
groups change.
* Clean up vmware BOTMETA
This removes everything that's already part of the module docs. So
basically the BOTMETA file only extends the information from the module.
* Updated author information and copyright statement
* Adds the ability to override the doc build output from the command line.
* For safety, removed straight rm of BUILDDIR and removed subdirectories instead.
* Added check to see if BUILDDIR was defined to main makefile
The examples comment said 'Add a line to a file if it does not exist, without passing regexp' which suggests, that the file is being created. But the default for 'create' is false. Thus the example lacked this option.
* Automatically stuff reference in commit message
So we probably want to track which edits were performed through the
Github interface, and this change automatically adds a label to the
commit message.
```yaml
<!--- Your description here -->
+label: docsite_pr
```
Eventually this allows to (on regular basis) list the changes from
documentation readers and process them in a separate process.
So I am still not satisfied with how required parameters are being
displayed (before it was yes/no, then it became required/optional, and
only required).
Now it will display in small green 'required' under the parameter name.
This is more convenient, and provides more room for the description.
Especially on smaller screens.
So people reading the module documentation usually look for parameters
first, and are interested in examples. However the notes are at the very
end even below the Return Values (the least interesting part).
So this change moves the notes higher up, below parameters, but before
examples so people at least see the notes.
False assumption that values can not have cyclic dependencies. Fix by
removing dependency on self and look for cycles, if found remove
dependency to get a partial sort done.
* Explain what the Ansible Quickstart video does
Rewrote what video does. The video is really not teaching you how to do the work. It explains why you'd want to use Ansible and shows you what it takes (some sample code) . Video also introduces you to other products in the Ansible ecosystem.
* Edit
* Workaround for non-string values
So I think the proper fix should go into html_ify, which should convert
any value into a string, rather than expecting strings only.

older versions of Tower (3.1) don't have a concept of CredentialTypes

of pre-3.2 tower-cli that *only* support the deprecated `kind`
attribute.
This commit fixes up the get_config method to match the minimum method
signature as defined by the base class. Without this patch, the
get_config method calls will fail in some cirumstances.
Currently, the module fail with a error saying that --acme-dir is mandatory.
Looking at the commandline:
/usr/sbin/acme-tiny --chain --account-key /srv/letsencrypt/acme_key/acme.key
--csr /srv/letsencrypt/nginx_certs/www.example.org.csr--acme-dir /srv/letsencrypt/webroot",
We can see that the space before --acme-dir is missing.

* allows ib_spec attrs to be filtered in update
This change will allow the ib_spec entries to be be filtered on a change
object by setting the update keyword to false. The default value for
update is true. When the update keyword is set to false, the keyed
entry will be removed from the update object before it is sent to the
api endpoint.

* Decouple config and state check in {network_os }_vlan and { network_os }_vrf modules
Fixes#35567Fixes#34754
`interfaces` option is used for configuration as well as operational state
check. If interface is configured to given vlan or vrf but if
operational state of interface is disabled it results in module failure.
Fix is to decouple same option usage for config and state.
With this fix `interfaces` is used as config option and a new
option named `associated_interfaces` will be used for intent check
for assigned interfaces.

* Better handling of absent AWS SES identity notification information.
Fixes#36065
aws_ses_identity module now handles the cases where information about
the notification setup for the identity isn't returned by the AWS api.
This seems to happen in an edge case, believed to be eventual
consistency on registering new identities. So this case is treated
as if has been no notification setup for the identity yet.
Also fix 2 flake8 warnings in the module, a missing newline and unused
import.
* Increase the Boto Retries on SES APIs to deal with throttling.
This should address the unstable integration test failing due to
parallel runs in shippable hitting AWS throttling.
* Add retries loading SES details for inclusion in successful response.
There seems to be an eventual consistency behaviour with identity
registration. It's possible to still get no identity back after
registration.
This can cause failures in the shippable builds. This should fix that by
creating a retry of retrieving the identity information after
registration.
A similar retry loop has been added to notification attributes to ensure
this doesn't suffer from the same failure.
* Add missing sleep in get_notification_attributes to avoid busy loop.
This change adds the optional wait_for_state_change argument to the
vmware_guest, vmware_guest_powerstate module, which allows for module
completion to be blocked when using the shutdownguest state until the
VM has reached the poweredoff state.

Unified tmp accidentally removed the containing tmpdir from the list of
files to fix the permissions on when we're becoming a different
unprivileged user. This resulted in a visible bug for script but not
for patch. This is because patch also uploads the module to the same
temporary directory and the uploaded module also ends up calling
fixup_perms2() which includes the temporary directory. So by the time
patch needs to access the temporary patch file, the directory is
appropriately set.
script's breakage was visible because script does not upload a module
(it's akin to raw in this way). Therefore, we only call fixup_perms2()
once in script and so leaving out the tmpdir in script means that the
containing directory never has its permissions set appropriately.
Fixing both because it does not cause an extra round trip for patch so
any speedup would be minimal and it's better to fix the perms as close
as possible to where we know we need it. Otherwise, changes to
seemingly unrelated code later could end up breaking it.

Fixes#33027
The modules in this patch include waits that need to happen to ensure
something is correctly configured on a BIG-IP. These waits were
raised as an issue in a recent ansible-testing meeting.
This patch eliminates the waits by mocking time.sleep
Start using this to construct shade OpenStack Cloud objects in a
consistent manner. This will let us centralize things like dealing with
password arguments and whatnot. It also allows us to introduce the
ability to pass a fully formed config dict directly to the module.
Migrate all OpenStack modules to use openstack_cloud_from_module.
Have it return the shade library since it's responsible for
importing shade and shade is needed for the exceptions.
Only pull specific OpenStack arguments for the constructor
Rather than passing **module.params to the shade constructor, pull out
only the values that make sense. This should prevent the issues with
module parameters stepping on shade parameters.
Replace module.params.pop with module.params.get
We don't need to pop these anymore since the shade constructor is now
using opt-in values.
Using real urls is ungood. Use example.com domains. Also, get rid of the
antiquated port numbers.

- add additional kwargs to aci.exit_json()
We may want to enable some of this debug output by default on failure ?
* Assorted set of fixes
* Cosmetic changes to lists
* Add more information related to connection throttling
* Changes to TOC
* Document return values
* More improvements
* Fix casing in title
* Exclude parent when copying included task to avoid memory issues. Fixes#35796
* Simplify implicit block squashing to pre-group, instead of post re-parenting
* While not all components of Ansible must be in Python, core contributions to the Ansible repo must be written in Python. This is to maximize the ability of everyone to contribute.
* If you want to write non-Python ansible modules or inventory scripts, that's fine, but they are not going to get merged in most likely. Sorry!!

This document is now the location for published Ansible Core roadmaps.
The roadmap will be updated by version. Based on team and community feedback, an initial roadmap will be published for a major or minor version (2.0, 2.1). Subminor versions will generally not have roadmaps published.
2.1 was the first time Ansible has published this and asked for feedback in this manner. So feedback on the roadmap and the new process is quite welcome. The team is aiming for further transparency and better inclusion of both community desires and submissions.
These roadmaps are the team's *best guess* roadmaps based on the Ansible team's experience and are also based on requests and feedback from the community. There are things that may not make it on due to time constraints, lack of community maintainers, etc. And there may be things that got missed, so each roadmap is published both as an idea of what is upcoming in Ansible, and as a medium for seeking further feedback from the community. Here are the good places for you to submit feedback:
- Add to the agenda of a `Core IRC Meetings <https://github.com/ansible/community/blob/master/meetings/README.md>`_ (preferred)
- Ansible's google-group: ansible-devel
- AnsibleFest conferences.
- IRC Freenode channel: #ansible-devel (this one may have things lost in lots of conversation, so a caution).
Ansible Roadmaps can be found `here <http://docs.ansible.com/ansible/devel/roadmap/>`_.
- EOS can not check configuration without use of config session (ANSIBLE_EOS_USE_SESSIONS=0). Fix is to throw error when hiting into this exception case. Configs would neither be checked nor be played on the eos device.
- win_nssm - Fix several issues and idempotency problems (https://github.com/ansible/ansible/pull/44755)
- win_nssm - Fix service not started when ``state=started`` (https://github.com/ansible/ansible/issues/35442)
- win_nssm - Correctly escape argument line when a parameter contains spaces, quotes or backslashes
- win_nssm - Add missing space between parameters with ``app_parameters``
- win_nssm - Fix extra space added in argument line with ``app_parameters`` or ``app_parameters_free_form`` when a parameter start by a dash and is followed by a period (https://github.com/ansible/ansible/issues/44079)
- win_nssm - Fix error when several services were given to the ``dependencies`` option
minor_changes:
- win_nssm - Drop support of literal YAML dictionnary for ``app_parameters`` option. Use the ``key=value;`` string form instead
- "ACME modules support `POST-as-GET <https://community.letsencrypt.org/t/acme-v2-scheduled-deprecation-of-unauthenticated-resource-gets/74380>`__ and will be able to access Let's Encrypt ACME v2 endpoint after November 1st, 2019."
- "docker_container - fix ``ipc_mode`` and ``pid_mode`` idempotency if the ``host:<container-name>`` form is used (as opposed to ``host:<container-id>``)."
- ec2_metadata_facts - Parse IAM role name from the security credential field since the instance profile name is different
