# `IndicesExistsIndexTemplateRequest` [interface-IndicesExistsIndexTemplateRequest]

| `flat_settings` | boolean | If true, returns settings in flat format. |

| `local` | boolean | If true, the request retrieves information from the local node only. Defaults to false, which means information is retrieved from the master node. |
